Happy spring folks! Now that it's warming up and the snow has finally melted from our field, we are preparing to plant! We are seeding all kinds of yummy veggies in the greenhouse. Last week I planted 15 different varieties of Heirloom Tomatoes and a ton of Sugar Snap peas. This week, Matt planted kale out in the field and I have put my onions outside to harden off in preparation for planting next week. I am so excited to finally get things growing after such a long, cold winter!
Now that spring is here, more and more folks are joining the CSA, so this is a reminder to those of you who want to sign up this year and haven't yet, to sign up soon, before we run out of shares. Click the link below to go to our CSA page and sign up online or print a sign-up sheet to mail in. Also, if you are able, please consider donating to the NOFA farm share program. This program subsidizes CSA shares for our neighbors whom could otherwise not afford to join our CSA. To find out more details about the program, see the ‘CSA’ page of our website, or go to http://nofavt.org/programs/farm-share
This Saturday, April 18th 10-2:30 we will be at the Spring CSA, farm and garden showcase at the River Garden in downtown Brattleboro. Come by and say hello. There will be uplifting spring activities, food to purchase and farmers to meet. And of course you can get information about and sign up for our CSA there. Hope to see you soon!
